COV Meeting, Sunday May 13th, 5:00 PM CST |
|
Just in case you all forgot, we have our weekly meetings on Sunday's at 5:00 PM CST. This week will be no different. If you can't make it, please post here. Otherwise you will be expected to attend. Members who can not attend or post will start losing ranks and will be removed from the Covenant.
You are paying monthly dues to OSI, and you have made a commitment to be in the Covenant. If you can't or don't want to attend our meetings, and can't even log on once a week to come up with a lame excuse why you can't be bothered to attend a meeting or a hunt every so often, then you should be asking yourself why you are in the Covenant. And if the Covenant is your only guild, then you probably are wondering why you are paying a monthly due to OSI as well. Find the answer and come have fun with us again, or move on. Everyone was fired up a month ago, and now that we are reactivating the Covenant, everyone has dissapeared. You all need to decide what you want to do, we can be great again, but I can't do it alone.

i mentioned this on the hunt post, but i will reiterate here. i work week nights and dont get home until somewhere around 10pm. sso i cant make those. i stated that when the decision to make them at this time was originally decided. i have been taking classes this semester and due to finals this past week, and continuing into this week, i ahve not had much free time. yes, even to get to the meetings. im sorry if any of you disagree with that, but to me my education comes first. i will do my best to post here if i can not attend any events or meetings. mostly the meetings, bc i wont even be able to make it to the hunts/training, as stated on their respective posts.
so in closing, hopefully i didnt sound like a jerk in any of that, and hope to see you all again soon.

Three people showed up this week, Wyrm, Epoch and Goratrix. We argued about the same old stuff, how to get people active. Not really sure how to do it. I do know that if you aren't active, even with a good excuse, you will be losing ranks.
All I ask is that you attend one event a week. Be it the Sunday meeting, the Monday hunt or any other event that you want to run (being a leader you can run your own event, any time you want, how is that for making the event fit your schedule?) If you can't do that, then your life is too hectic and you don't have the time to help lead the Covenant. I need leaders who are able to lead, not ones who want to but can't. I know that is harsh, but what we have going on now is just not working.
Some members wanted to start recruiting, well I am split on that. If we invite 5 people to join the guild, the new members may be active enough to justify them staying, but if we only get like 2 members, they will quit the guild in two weeks, because no one will be around to hang out with them. However, if all the old members are not active enough to get together, maybe recruiting is the only way to move forward. I would like to wait to recruit new members when my base is active again, but that is looking less likely every week.
