Members with secondary characters who are artisans are encouraged to offer their services to the Covenant. Any member with a secondary character who has artisan skills that would be helpful to the Covenant and who donates time to help the Covenant will be rewarded. Examples of artisan skills are Mining, Blacksmithing, Tailoring, Bowyer/Fletching, Cooking, Lumberjacking, Alchemy, Inscription, Carpentry, etc.

Covenant artisans do not have to be on a Covenant stone, they simply have to respond to the call. Sometimes it is better to allow a mortal to live their own life, free of the blood bond as to retain their creativity. Mindlessly following a vampire master has a tendency to dull the wits and can interfere with free thought which is necessary for most artisan skills. Therefore we do not require all artisans to be completely under the control of a vampire. Allowing them to remain allied to mortal guilds is a way for them to stay in touch with their mortal creativity and also gather information for us about our enemies unbeknown to even themselves.

If a member wishes to place a secondary character on the Covenant of Revenants stone, that is acceptable as well.

Very rarely will an artisan be embraced, mot of the artisans under the direct control of the Covenant (on a Covenant stone) are members of a revenant family and will have the title of Revenant. Revenants are created from families that have been fed vampire blood for centuries and their offspring are born with vampire blood in them. They are not imortal, and their power pales in comparison to vampires, however they do tend to live centuries under their own power without the need for the blood of vampires to sustain their long lives. Some have even been known to display Vampiric Disciplines.
